Most people who ask for a Centerville realtor are really asking about Centerville City Schools and a south-Dayton commute on I-675. The city and Washington Township both show up in that search, and they are not the same place.

City, township, and the school label
Centerville is the city. A large share of homes marketed as Centerville are in Washington Township and still feed Centerville City Schools. Taxes and services follow the jurisdiction. The school follows the address. Confirm both before you write an offer, especially near the Kettering and Springboro lines.
Neighborhoods buyers ask about
- The Woodlands, Black Oak, and Centerville Station — established subdivisions where buyers compare sales inside the same community, not against the whole city.
- Bigger Road and Socialville-Foster — newer streets that shop differently from the older downtown grid on Main Street.
- Downtown Centerville — smaller lots and older houses near Stubbs Park, a different product from a township colonial.
If you are also touring Beavercreek for a Wright-Patterson commute, keep that list separate. The school districts and the drives are not interchangeable.
What to decide before the first weekend of tours
