Springboro vs Centerville for Buyers

Springboro and Centerville both attract families who want a south-of-Dayton suburb and strong schools. They are not substitutes. Springboro is Warren County on I-75. Centerville is Montgomery County on I-675, with a large share of the housing in Washington Township.

Commute first

Choose Springboro if the drive is I-75 — north into Dayton or south toward Cincinnati — or if you want Austin Landing nearby without pretending it is inside Centerville. Choose Centerville if the drive is I-675 and you want Centerville City Schools, including many Washington Township addresses.

Schools and the county line

Springboro Community City Schools and Centerville City Schools are the usual reasons buyers name these cities. The county line also changes taxes. Do not average the two markets into one offer price. A newer Springboro subdivision and an established Centerville street can look similar online and still need different comps.
